A Nigerian woman from Benin City named Tracy Eboigbodin has won the 11th season of MasterChef, Italy.
A number of well-known and elite chefs who competed appeared in the worldwide cooking competition.
At the seventh iteration of the annual week of Italian cuisine in the World, which was held in Abuja, the Italian embassy in Nigeria, along with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and Fraser Suites, complimented Eboigbodin.
Eboigbodin had worked as a waiter in Italy for around 15 years before to the incident before enrolling in culinary school.
After relocating to Italy 17 years ago, she took part in the worldwide culinary competition that is mirrored in over 60 nations.
She said she refused to be constrained by the stereotypes of being a Nigerian and a lady from Edo State, which are frequently associated with prostitution and human trafficking.
She sobbed passionately over the fact that people frequently emphasize Nigerians’ negative effects rather than their beneficial contributions.
A viral video captured the moment she was named the winner to chants and applause from the audience.
