After Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United a few weeks ago, manager Erik ten Hag plans to let go of another Red Devils icon, David de Gea.
After an inflammatory interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo’s contract with the Premier League’s biggest clubs was mutually canceled, and Ten Hag was unable to mend fences with the Portuguese captain.
De Gea may be leaving Manchester United, according to El Nacional, since Ten Hag doesn’t think he will fit into his future plans.
The international player from Spain joined Old Trafford in 2011 and has since played 507 times for the team.
Next summer will mark the end of his current contract, and according to the sources cited above, Ten Hag has informed Man United’s management that De Gea is not in his future plans.
It further stated that Dean Henderson, who is now on loan at Nottingham Forest, has been named by the Dutchman as Man United’s next top goalkeeper.
