A 32-year-old lady has joyfully announced her impending grandmotherhood on social media.
Shannon, a British mother of one, announced earlier this month via her TikTok profile that her 16-year-old daughter Molly is expecting a son in the early 2023.
Shannon can be seen dancing about gleefully with her pregnant teenage daughter in a video that is now viral and causing quite a stir on Twitter.
Shannon shared the video of Molly sporting a noticeable baby belly and confessed that she also became pregnant at the age of 16.
“You’re a mom to a 16-year-old and now she’s carrying your first grandchild. She’s my double. 10 weeks to go!! I got her fully! I had her at 16 with no support & I swear on my life I’ll never ever let them down! I got you fully.” The proud grandmother-to-be wrote.
In a later video, the 32-year-old asserted that despite being repeatedly told that she is too young to become a grandmother, she is ready for the new role.
“Everyone says that to me — ‘you’re too young to be a nan!”, she said.
She went on to say that she is helping her daughter out financially as she gets ready to have a kid.
Her words,
“She [Molly] is still my baby, as much as she is having a baby herself now. [I have] bought her everything for the baby, because she hasn’t had her own income or anything like that, so we have all provided. That’s all I can do, is just to support and be there for her, which I have.”
