43-year-old man earns a degree from a university after working as a cleaner for 24 years so he may become a teacher

Although life might be unexpected, we can still find meaning in it, as this 43-year-old man has.

Tylan Bailey, who lived in DeKalb County, Georgia, the United States, and worked diligently as a janitor at Hightower Elementary School for 24 years, had a difficult existence.

However, Bailey enrolled in a degree program at Georgia State University in the USA because he was determined to turn his life around.

He began his studies at Georgia State University for a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Special Education at the age of 40, demonstrating that it’s never too late to follow one’s dreams.

Bailey balanced his scholastic workload with his day job as a janitor, and after three years, he has earned a degree that puts him on track to lead the life of his dreams.

He shown incredible tenacity in pursuing his long-held goal of becoming a teacher. To fulfill the qualifications for becoming a teacher, he took courses at Georgia State University’s College of Education and Human Development.

“I always wanted to be a college graduate. I always wanted to be a teacher. So having everything sink in at that moment was the best feeling I could ever have,” Bailey shared with WSBTV.

Bailey is now realizing his goal at the age of 43 after working as a janitor for 24 years and putting in three years of intense study and labor.
